Blood delivers necessary substances such as nutrients to the body's cells for their metabolism, and transport toxins away from those same cells. The higher the blood-flow rate, the more effective the transport in and out of cells !
The blood flow speed is known to be dependent on the local temperature. If our core body
temperature (internal temperature) is usually 37°C (98,6°F), our skin temperature is not ! The
further from the core of the body, the lower the temperature. All in energy saving !
Practically, it means that our subcutaneous fat is cold and lowly vascularized.
